NRL Training: Supporting HIV Testing in Myanmar
Myanmar continues to strive towards the development and sustainability of effective and high-quality laboratory systems to support progress towards 90-90-90 targets by 2020, as a milestone for further achievement of 95-95-95 targets by 2030.
With support from the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), and through a cooperative agreement between ICAP at Columbia University (ICAP) and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), ICAP and NRL will collaborate with the Myanmar Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) to develop, implement, and monitor the provision of high-quality HIV testing services, to achieve the 95-95-95 targets amongst all populations by 2030. To this end, NRL will continue to support the strengthening of the quality of all forms of HIV testing and scale-up of routine HIV Viral Load (VL) monitoring in Myanmar.
